I have recently discovered my go-travel uniform. This uniform happened naturally which I am taking as a good sign for myself. I like looks you can count on AND that are practical!
1) My soft pashmina that purchased at Pringles of London 11 years ago (that’s right…) and I still love it and grab it faithfully. Talk about cost per wear! It is a good cashmere and silk blend that has never pilled. I treasure it as Linus treasured his blankey. The trick is to get a mid weight BIG one. It will fit in any bag and take on any climate change. Nordstroms is my favorite place to buy scarves since I don’t go to London (sigh) anymore. Scarves are the one things that I don’t mind paying retail for, I know I will wear them.
2) My other essental is a soft leather motorcycle jacket. Soft, warm and takes a beating as I take it on and off through security. I picked up one from Guess a couple of years ago and have barely taken it off since! In the winter I wear a black cropped cashmere cardigan under neath it. You can’t see it but it gives me one more layer of warmth.
3) My newest vice is rock and roll t-shirts. These are just fun. I am so tired of wearing plan t-shirts and when you get my age, most printed t’s just are a bit silly. Actually these t’s might be silly on me as well but I am going to sport them for a bit longer just because they make me smile.
