Who and What I am into this week: Meeting up and caring

I have a couple things on my mind this holiday morning.   We meet a lot of people online and if we are fortunate enough we get to occasionally meet them in person. I was fortunate enough to have met a wonderful group of women who came out to the Hilton last week at Surtex. I am posting few fun pics that survived on my iphone. If I didn’t get a chance to talk to all of  you one on one and really hear how you are doing, I wanted to. I want to hear that you are staying motivated,  if you are excited about your future and I would have liked to encouraged you to genuinely  believe in yourself.   I  do hope I sincerely told you how much I appreciated you watching and being supportive of Smart Creative Women.

I loved to see women do interesting things like this group of artists in LA who have joined together to form Art Licensing LA. It is a great way to join together to share ideas, leads and maybe even some financial costs. costs. I noticed that Carrie and Morgan from Ampersand Design Studio have formed a unique partnership as well. Today’s world can be a pressure cooker for women as they  push themselves as entrepreneurs, mothers and wives. I think finding like minded souls is a terrific way to find balance and support.

I also wanted to pause and give some more prayers and thoughts to the people who lost so so much in  the Oklahoma tornadoes. I saw Kelly Beall from Design Crush write this post as she volunteered to help reunite owners with their pets in Oklahoma. I saw this list of 5 ways to help the Oklahoma victims, you can take a look at it and if you feel compelled to give, please do.

My husband sent me this Ted talk from Caitlin Crosby  and I thought you might like it for a little inspiration today. I particularly liked this quote from it…

“It’s our responsibility as humans to take care of each other.” -Caitlin Crosby  via @smartcreativew (click here to tweet this)
