So I am getting ready for a conference next week in Salt lake City. Alt Design Summit is lifestyle blogging conference. I know some of you have been asking what it is and you can read more about it here.
When I first read about The Land of Nod’s color themed Clue party for Alt Summit this year, I started shopping the internet for a peacock colored dress. Fun, I thought! All of the sudden I had a little tickling my brain and I started shopping my own closet, only to spy a peacock blue vintage velvet dress that I already owned! I bought this at an estate sale several years ago and have only worn it to one fund raiser so I thought it needed another night out. It had been awhile, so I held my breath when I tried it on. Then I remembered that I pretty much have to hold my breath the entire time I wear it. Vintage clothing has no stretch AT ALL! So if you see me looking a little blue, come say hello!
This week I am also into the stunning art work of Chris Chun. Chris and I commented on the same post somewhere online this week and I was telling my husband that even though I have never met Chris, I feel like I know him because we travel in the same social media circles. I like it when the internet does that.
Chris is crazy talented, he lives in Thailand and I love that his artwork reflects the richness of his surroundings. I popped over to his website and was so excited to see everything he has been up to. Note to self: Go to people’s websites, don’t just follow them on social media! Chris needs to come on the show, don’t you think? He now has a boutique online with such pretty things…like this cushion. I could use this! So fresh!
and these notecards…
I spotted this tea set that he designed. I am sure even the strongest cup of tea would taste better in this.
