We are heading off to the gorgeous Mount Washington Inn for the holiday. This was the big treat after I worked through the summer and through our last vacation. Being a small business owner means juggling a lot of balls and while it can be daunting, I am actually so so thankful. I have enjoyed myself immensely since I have started Smart Creative Women. I am looking forward to a bit of a reprieve this week so Tom and I can discuss some “life plans” that we have been toying with. The interesting thing about being content in your spirit is that sometimes you don’t really want to address any change. We have two boys that will head off to college soon and that may just free us up a bit, location wise. Luke isn’t quite there yet but he keeps saying he is leaving in 2 years and we can do whatever we want. His zeal about this big countdown for his departure is a bit disconcerting. I do know that I am a planner and I do not do well in “indecision land.” Man, when did I grow up and become such a grown up planner when I was labeled a dreamer as a kid? Not sure if this a good realization or not. Truthfully, I just want to make sure I am not “launching” something and suddenly we decide to move! I appreciate that Tom totally “gets me” around stuff like that.
I do hope you take a few minutes to be grateful for the people in your life that are open to new ideas and that let you just be “you.” I am very very grateful that you all have just let me be me here at Smart Creative Women! I hope you have a great holiday!
I posted a fun place setting DIY idea over on the Nicole’s Classes blog today. You can either make your own (if you are feeling creative) or there is a download where you can use the ones I painted. I know you pretty well at this point and imagine you have some pretty clever and creative ways to set a holiday table yourself! You are an incredible bunch of women and I am very thankful for you.
