I sat down to talk to Sarai Mitnick from Colette Patterns recently to find out a little bit more about her and her business. I was so surprised to learn what she was doing before she started her pattern company (tech girl). I picked up her book awhile back and was delighted to find feminine, sweet and stylish patterns. (I called them retro, she calls them classic…I think I am getting old.) I have kept an eye on Sarai and her blog, Coletterie and I love all the detailed sewing instruction she shares, super helpful! Her style permeates throughout her brand (gotta love that) which means she is marching to the beat of her own drummer AND it is working! Her patterns now are internationally distributed (gotta love that even more)! Enjoy this chat, we have a tough skype connection, but we just went with it!
