Melanie Falick is the editorial director of STC Craft, which is an imprint of the book publisher Stewart, Tabori & Chang (STC), which is a division of Abrams Books. If you love crafts, knitting or quilting you should listen to this. If you want to author a book about crafts, you should listen to this. If you are in the market for a new job and need an attitude shift, you should listen to this. She gives job hunting advice, shares her love of anything handmade and talks about what an author can expect to be asked when submitting a book proposal. Don’t be intimidated though, Melanie’s approachable spirit will encourage you to be and do your absolute best. I learned a lot through interview which is why it went long, (sorry!) she was just so interesting! Here are just some of the books she has edited, as well as a new release in March from the fabulous Natalie Chanin. You can take a peek at the entire catalog here. We would love to hear your thoughts and comments. If you have any questions for Melanie, pop them in to the comments as well! I just added a new comment application so you can get follow up comments and answers!
