Do people get you? A quick look at what your web presence conveys

Hi! I put together this video on how-to think  for you when you examine your website. I end up helping quite a few of my coaching clients with this, I have found that  it really helps to have an outside eye look at your web presence. In this video, I have a “litmus test question” to ask yourself about your web presence. Is it simple, clear, concise?  It  is important not to confuse people right out of the gate. I am sure you have heard that old saying first impressions count, in today’s busy  internet world this adage holds true. You have to make it easy for people.

Don’t let this advice throw you for a loop. Break it down into this simple exercise, what is the first thing you would say about yourself in an interview? What would you wear and what would you say?

Write  down 1 to 3 things, no more! Now go to your website, is that what you are conveying?

I believe you are FABULOUS! I also know that a makeover  now and then can be a good thing! I hope you liked the one I rolled out this week!

Yes, I know I need a haircut.  Yes, I know that there is a blip in the middle of the video. Thank you for loving me anyway.

Thanks for the shout and I could not agree more. Getting to know yourself is HARD and fun at the same time.

Fab advice Monica.. I sometimes feel I am a head spin with all my sites etc and hearing you say all this is another nudge towards tackling it. It is so difficult though when you don’t know EXACTLY where you’re going. I do a lot of personalised work for individuals yet I may have a trade range too at some point and it’s balancing the very different aspects of what you do without putting off ‘big business’ by seeming too ‘small / fragmented’ for want of better words. For me this is really a tricky one. x Gabs

I absolutely adore this video! It is all so true! I agree with Tommy too that the main obstacle is often that people are not clear themselves with who they are and what their web prescence is about. It’s hard to convey it to thers when you don’t even know. So glad I found your site :)

You are so cute and helpful and real and you wear cute shoes. I’m getting my website overhauled right now so I was curious what you had to say. If you ever click over and want to offer your sage advice, I’m all ears. (And I had a dream about you the other day, I was sitting next you like no time had passed and I was asking your advice. That’s all I remember. :) )
