Cori Dantini talks etsy success and licensing

Part 1

Today’s interviews is with one of my all time favorite people, Cori Dantini. She is absolutely hilarious. You will see in this interview that she is a Smart Creative Woman. She runs a super busy etsy shop, successfully exhibits her art at art fairs and now is having her art licensed on products. I broke this interview into 2 parts, each less than 20 minutes so you would be able to watch them both without missing a thing. Leave her a comment and tell us what you think!
Part 2

Cori’s art can be found on greeting cards as well as bedding and shower curtains over at Deny Designs!  Ms. Dantini also recently debuted a fabric collection with Blend Fabrics. She was nice enough to offer a discount code over at her etsy shop for us! How nice is that??! Pick out some of her darling art that you would like and mention the code 25offSCW2012 for 25% off! What a sweetheart! Cori is certainly one to watch!

  1. [...] and keep up to date on interviews. I have loaded 2 more  interviews up, by the way! One with Cori Dantini and one with Alice [...]

  2. Fantastic interview, Monica. You guys crack me up. It’s really a bit of an unconventional take-home message – make outstanding art and a lot of it, ignore everything else as much as you can and opportunities will come to you! I better get painting :P

HA! katherine you are SO right… i was just talking with monica, and i said “i don’t know if i said anything helpful.” i suppose in hindsight, i would say be brave and make stuff. open every door, and perhaps walk in the room. put your work out into the world… see what will happen. because you just never know where the road might take you!

  4. Lot’s of fun hearing from artists from various parts of the country. Love Cori’s style too!

What a delightful interview! I love the part where you talk about people crying when they see your art. I remember doing that the first time I saw your work. Hope I didn’t make you feel too awkward. :) I can’t wait to hear about your big collaboration! And FABRIC! Finally! Cori, your talent is supernatural. ?????? you!

  12. I REALLY enjoyed this personal, relaxed interview (as did my husband Josh), tea in hand. Afterwards he asked if he should go to the grocery store more often – would that be a help to me… I am, as always, so very proud of you Cori! And Monica – this new venture is fantastic for you. I will be an avid follower!
