Cat Seto on Mom, Inc. and a new stationery venture

Cat Seto is a women to meet! You may have run across her already, she has several different businesses that she manages. First, she is an author of  the book Mom, Inc. and author of the popular blog Mom Inc Daily.  She also has a stationery line, Cat Seto, and  retail  and studio boutique under the same name in San Francisco.  Next week  she is launching another darling stationery line, Ferme A Papier, at the National Stationery Show. Whew! I am not sure how much that adds up to be but I do know she has quite a full plate…and yet she seems so calm! I am always amazed by that!

Cat Seto is a delight. I needed to know how she got started and how she manages all this! She is very insightful about her journey. Artist, author, mother and business owner, you gotta be inspired by all of that!

I love  love this new line from Cat. I am  really struck at how well it tells a story. It was inspired by a recent trip to France and I adore the painterly quality to it. Cat will be at the NSS in booth 2136, stop by and say hello and check out her new line in person.  I believe I’ll  buy a canvas print for Tom, either the tennis shoes or the couple embracing. It would look nice in his office. What do you think?

Great interview and I love her new line of notes! I’m in the beginning stages of starting my own notecard line and it was reassuring to hear that it’s common to get orders first and then get them printed. Her book sounds great as well. Impressed with all she has accomplished!

This is one of my favorite interviews yet, Monica! I love that Cat is so open about how she got her start and about those feelings she had when Anthropologie first approached her. She’s so down to earth, and she’s accomplished so much! I’m a new Cat Seto fan, that’s for sure.
