An assignment: Recalling accomplishments and a little love

Here is a 3 minute video with a 3 minute assignment for your Monday! Don’t get caught in the trap on thinking you have not accomplished anything. You have done more than you might realize. This week take a look into your own history and recall at least 2 things you have created or have done that you are proud of. Then WRITE THEM DOWN where you can see them all week. Pass by it, smile, remember who you are. If you feel stuck or if you feel like you are stalling, you will be reminded of your past accomplishments. Be kind to yourself.

BONUS assignment: Find a body part that you love on yourself. YES, I am talking about your physical body! Write that down as well. You need to love yourself so you can put your best creative self out there. How are you going to bring joy, peace, contentment into someone else’s life if you are not lovin’ yourself? Can I hear an AMEN in the house? I ‘m all preachy this morning! Here are mine. What are yours?

Thank you for a great post to start Monday with! Just last night I told my husband that I feel like I have so much learning and growing to do to reach my goal and it’s discouraging on some days. It’s nice to take a moment and realize just HOW MUCH I really have accomplished in just the past few months. Thank you for always inspiring me! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Awesome message and so cheerfully presented…Thank you…will do it:)

  • Fantastic and just in time!! Happy week!

Great advice! Let’s see, creatively I’m proud that I took a risk and devoted a big chunk of time to exploring my passions and creating 7 episodes of The Desha Show for my local TV station and online. I’m also proud that I’m writing my first book! And I like my legs ๐Ÿ™‚

You are so adorable and sweet and a wonderful cheerleader, Monica! How is it that you “know” exactly what I need to hear??! How is it that you know that TODAY I am sitting here feeling like a grumpy pants and kinda unmotivated? My hair is too frizzy, my knees are dumplings, and how will I EVER get disciplined enough to tackle learning Photoshop? …Oh, wait… that’s not the assignment! Scre-e-e-ch…grinding halt to that thought train. Hmmm… she hesitates… OK, I do like my hands. And I LOVE my Etsy shop! Thank you, Monica! I feel better already!

    • Monica Lee says:

Yeah Pattie! No more grump pants, hahaha! It was hard for me to write my list down AND photograph it!

  • Hi Monica What a great way to start the week. I am so happy you took the time to post this. So what have I done lately that I love for my business. Well, I met a new client today who has a great product and I am excited about helping him bring it to market. I also love my fabric line that came out last fall Gingham Animals. My body part that I love, well I’ve got ” legs” as the ZZtop song goes. thanks again, love the barking pup at the beginning. You are fabulous. MJ

What a great reminder to think about the great things we’ve done! Hmmm. I’m proud of having my kids (it was an ordeal!) and I’m proud of a major retail store signage campaign I concepted and designed that went up one year for the whole holiday season. Sometimes I forget that even happened. I like my neck/collarbone area. It’s fun to dress it up with necklaces or ribbons.

Well, I watched your message late… but it was perfect timing just the same. Funny how that works ๐Ÿ™‚ Let’s see, this was a big week… got my site and blog up, made it to the semi finals for the Spoonflower/Fabric8 contest, and participated in the Soul Art Day. Didn’t make it to the finals… but still happy and going forward. I love my size 5 feet, my hair, and my small hands. I missed you Monica… I have two more video’s to catch up on ๐Ÿ™‚
